I absolutely adore this book! My 5th grade daughter, who has “severe Tourette’s”needed a book to read for a book report. I’m not even sure HOW I found this book, but I’m so glad I did. The conflicts, relationships, parental angst, as well as those who quietly help her find courage make this a wonderful read. It’s wonderful to find humor woven through her struggles. It’s also real. It expresses the physical, as well as emotional pain one goes through. If you are looking for a seriously GOOD read, with some insight on an often misunderstood medical issue, please, enjoy this book.

This book really touched my heart and i would definitely recommend this book. I hope everyone enjoyed this book as much as i did!
The book was in the right direction of showing how not everyone is alike. We all have our own issues. But the story line wasn't what I thought. It talked about disfunctional home life compared to ticks. Not a very good comparison some of the content could've been wrote differently. My son and I read it together and he wan't very into the story either.
Family member recently diagnosed with Tourette's .....so factual & easy reading for any pre teen or teen faced with problems encountered at school & at home. Especially liked the educational Q & A about Tourette's at the end of the book.
I really like this book. I has helped to understand my son more.
If you want some insight on how Tourette's effects a child and their family, this is a good book. It should be given to any teacher, parent or child that is dealing with this syndrome.
I read this book to help my granddaughter with her homework/book report, and enjoyed it very much. This is a great tool to help adults and children alike, to understand that these people are just like them, and that just because they have this disorder, it doesn't mean that they don't have the same needs and wants as they do.
